Established on 1 October 2018, Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is the only Special Health Authority within NHS Wales. We sit alongside Health Boards and Trusts, and have a leading role in the education, training, development, and shaping of the healthcare workforce in Wales, in order to ensure high-quality care for the people of Wales. Regional Lead for Pharmacy Technician Education, Training & Development PAY SCALE – AFC BAND 6 LOCATION: TBC HOURS: 37.5 Hours per week REGION: North Wales Are you passionate about the Education Training & development of Pharmacy Technicians? Would you like to become a role model within the Pharmacy Technician community? Health Education and Improvement Wales have an opportunity for someone to join them as a Regional Lead for Pharmacy Technician Education Training and Development, focusing on the North Wales region. Joining HEIW’s Pharmacy team at an exciting time for the education & training of Pharmacy Technicians, the role holder will work in partnership across the profession to develop the Technician workforce to deliver Healthier Wales for patients. Responsibilities of the post will include, managing the regional delivery of pharmacy technician training events, coordinating a regional approach to technician education, training & development, managing the regional pharmacy technician assessment and quality assurance team and participating in agreed pharmacy practice research and evaluation. The Regional Lead for Pharmacy Technician Education Training & Development will hold a professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as well as having significant experience of delivering education and training programmes to pre and post registration pharmacy technicians.
