The salary has been averaged out at 3 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (total of 117 hours per year) which allows time to cover all meetings and associated admin and training, however the work will not be evenly distributed due to the nature of the role. Meetings are normally held on Mondays (Cams Hill School) and Tuesdays (Woodcot Primary School) evenings from approx. 5pm to 7pm.
Scheduled Cams Hill School LGB meetings are on Mondays for the 25/26 academic year - 29/9/25, 1/12/25, 26/1/26, 9/3/26, 5/5/26, 29/6/26
Scheduled Woodcot Primary LGB meetings are on Tuesday for the 25/26 academic year - 7/10/25, 2/12/25, 27/1/26, 10/3/26, 5/5/26, 30/6/26
Meetings are held in the evenings from approx. 5pm to 7pm, attendance at these meetings in person is required.
Place of Work: Flexible at one of the above schools, some working at home may be possible
The Gateway Trust are currently seeking to appoint a Notetaker to provide effective administrative support to The Romsey School, Oakfield Academy and Foundry Lane Primary School Local Governing Bodies. Working in partnership with the Governance Professional, LGB Chairs, Governors and Headteachers your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing agendas
Taking and distributing minutes
Providing administrative, procedural, and legislative support to the Local Governing Bodies

We are looking for candidates who:
Can take accurate minutes and maintain efficient record keeping systems
Has experience of writing agendas and servicing meetings
Can manage their own time effectively
Is comfortable chasing busy people to ensure deadlines are met
Is highly organised with good attention to detail
Has excellent admin, communication, and IT skills
Is confident in taking the initiative to find relevant information on behalf of the Governing Body
Has a willingness and flexibility to work at times convenient to the governing board
Can remain impartial and maintain confidentiality at all times
