We're looking for a talented visionary to join our NPD team as our New Product Development Skincare Manager to lead our charge in creating groundbreaking, sustainable skincare products.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire development process of our skincare line, from initial concept to successful market launch. Your role will integrate science and creativity to develop high-quality, eco-friendly skincare products that appeal to our environmentally conscious consumers.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Guide the development process of Tropic's skincare range, ensuring all products reflect our Infinite Purpose and commitment to sustainability. Team Management: Lead and develop a team of two, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Innovative Formulations: Develop fresh, effective skincare products that align with our brand's ethos of natural and ethical beauty solutions. Cross-functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with marketing, design, production, and packaging teams to ensure a seamless development process. Market Insight: Conduct comprehensive research on current trends, consumer needs, and ingredient innovations to keep our products at the forefront of the skincare industry. Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring all aspects from design to delivery meet our high standards and timelines. Financial Acumen: Manage COG, profitability and analyse the sales data for the portfolio. Content Development: Contribute to creating engaging content, training materials, and promotional strategies to highlight the unique qualities of our products. Portfolio Management: Oversee the existing product portfolio, contributing recommendations and managing EPD (Existing Product Development) projects to ensure continued product relevance and performance.

What We're Looking For

A Creative Innovator: Passionate about skincare and beauty, with a keen interest in sustainable and natural product development. Experienced NPD Skincare Specialist: Proven NPD experience in managing an extensive skincare category. People Management Skills: Experience managing or mentoring team members, with the ability to inspire, develop and support others. Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biology, or a related field. Industry Experience: Proven track record in skincare product development, with comprehensive knowledge of formulation and market trends. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements in skincare and cosmetics. Exceptional Organiser: Outstanding organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Collaborative Skills: Excellent communication abilities to work effectively across various departments. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

What We Offer

Employment type: This role is offered full-time Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Where we're located: Tropic HQ is a short walk from Beddington Lane Tram stop, which is connected to East Croydon and Wimbledon.
