We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented
NPI Project Technical Administrator
to support the successful delivery of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. This role is ideal for someone with a technical or engineering background who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and enjoys managing documentation, data, and project coordination.
Purpose of the Role
The NPI Project Technical Administrator plays a key role in supporting NPI Project Managers by handling the administrative and documentation workload, enabling the team to focus on delivering high-quality, cost-effective products that meet customer expectations and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Support & Coordination
Assist in coordinating and monitoring NPI project timelines, tasks, and deliverables
Maintain project documentation including Gantt charts, risk registers, and action logs
Prepare agendas, take minutes, and track actions from cross-functional meetings
Documentation & Data Management
Control and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and specifications using PLM/ERP systems
Ensure version control and proper archiving of engineering change documents (ECNs)
Support the preparation of technical reports, validation records, and compliance documentation
Communication & Reporting
Act as the central point of contact for project-related queries across departments
Prepare dashboards, status updates, and reports for internal stakeholders
Support communication with suppliers and third-party partners
Commercial Administration
Track and manage quotes, purchase orders, and production orders
Key Performance Indicators
Time:
Deliverables completed on time and aligned with customer expectations and internal stakeholders
Cost:
Support budget tracking and contribute to cost-effective product delivery
Quality:
Ensure documentation and processes meet internal and customer-driven standards
Relationships
Act as a dependable support partner for NPI Project Managers and technical teams
Collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, QA, and external partners
Requirements
Education
HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
Business administration qualifications desirable
Project management knowledge is a plus
Experience & Knowledge
Proven experience in an administrative or coordination role within engineering, manufacturing, or product development
Familiarity with PLM/ERP systems and engineering documentation
Skills & Competencies
Excellent document control and organisational skills
Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project (or equivalent)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and traceability
Process-focused with a commitment to efficiency and compliance
