An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly-motivated individual for the post of DXA Health Care Support Worker, part of the Nuclear Medicine Department within Swansea Bay University Health Board.The post holder will be a core team member of the Nuclear Medicine, providing technical and administrative support to the DXA and Imaging sections of Nuclear Medicine in Singleton Hospital, including providing information to patients ahead of their complex appointments and ensuring adherence to preparation for examinations.We are looking for an individual who has excellent communication skills, is able to work effectively within a team and be efficient and organised with their own workload. This post is suitable for applicants with good attention to detail, strong administrative skills, good keyboard skills, and are familiar with Microsoft office programmes.This post will be based both at Singleton Hospital and on our DXA mobile unit in Hywel Dda.Main duties of the jobNuclear Medicine at Singleton Hospital is a highly specialised department providing radiopharmaceuticals, diagnostic imaging, radionuclide therapy, PET-CT, and DXA scanning to patients across South West Wales. Within this multi-disciplinary service, the post-holder will work as part of a skilled and experienced team, supporting Healthcare Scientists in the delivery of DXA services.The post-holder will play an integral role in the imaging pathway for DXA patients, supporting the delivery of a high-quality, patient-centred service.
