Job Description
Elborough Street Surgery is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic ?nurse associate or advanced HCA to join our welcoming and innovative team. Located in Southfields in Wandsworth, our surgery serves 8200+ patients.
Our team consists of 5 GPs, a practice nurse, pharmacists, paramedics, a care coordinator who manages the call/recall of patients and a supportive and warm admin team. We also have access to physiotherapists and a social prescriber through our PCN.
The role would suit someone who is looking for 20-30 hours per week.

Nurse Associate or Advanced Health Care Assistant
LOCATION: Elborough Street Surgery
GRADE: Dependent on experience
ACCOUNTABLE TO: GP Partners and Practice Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
To support the practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to our patient population. This role will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
For a Health Care Assistant the duties we would like you to be proficient in are:
B12 jabs
BP check
Diabetes foot check
Dressings (simple)
ECGs
Flu vaccines (both adult and child)
Hypertension review
Diet and health style advice including weight management referrals
NHS health checks
Phlebotomy
Pneumococcal jabs
Shingles jab
Smoking cessation
Staples and stitch removals
For a Nurse Associate we would like the above skills plus:
Cervical Screening
Adult and Child Immunisations (Under PSDs)
Chronic disease reviews including asthma and COPD
Compression dressings
Job Types
