We are offering a unique opportunity for a Nurse Consultant to join our CAMHS Intensive Support Team (IST) while also providing clinical leadership support across Core CAMHS. This senior role combines expert clinical practice and service innovation - giving you the chance to make a real difference to children, young people, and their families.



As Nurse Consultant, you will:



Lead advanced clinical practice within the Crisis Intensive Support Team

Shape and champion the voice of nursing in IST and CAMHS

Support, mentor, and inspire our nursing workforce

Drive quality, innovation, and service development

You will be required to work autonomously and be accountable for clinical nursing care across Child & Adolescent Mental Health services, predominantly Crisis and Intensive support services (CAMHS C&IST) and Core CAMHS. These are services for those CYP with the most complex clinical risk in the community and the role will provide leadership in clinical decision-making and care planning, and for professional nursing standards and leadership.

You will initiate and take the lead on agreed projects to improve clinical effectiveness and efficiency in areas where nurses play a major role, which could include wider CYPMH nursing services.

Safe and effective prescribing practice as a non-medical prescriber. The post may also provide leadership for adherence to best practice guidelines for NMPs across the services



Undertaking independent comprehensive assessment and management, of young people open to the service. This will include the completion of advanced risk assessment and management to ensure the promotion of the safety and well-being of CYP & families. This will incorporate systemic (family, social & educational), psychiatric, physiological, psychological and pharmacological considerations, requiring the post holder to make multifaceted complex clinical decisions regarding
