We are recruiting for a Nurse Deputy Team Leader to support a young person with complex medical needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a young person with complex medical needs, providing both hands-on care and supporting team leadership. The client is a 13-year-old with a spinal cord injury, ventilator dependency, tracheostomy, suprapubic catheter, and epilepsy. They are bright, resilient, and enjoy learning, reading, and spending time with their family and friends.
You will be part of a small, skilled team delivering care in the client's home and community. The family value professionalism, respect, and clear boundaries, with staff focusing on medical needs while enabling family and social life to flourish.

We are seeking a Deputy Nurse Team Leader who will:
Deliver hands-on nursing care including tracheostomy, ventilator, catheter, and seizure management
Support staff training and competencies
Contribute to care plan updates and documentation
Act as shift lead and deputise for the Nurse Team Leader
Ensure high standards of care are maintained
Essential:
Registered Nurse (Child, Adult, or Learning Disability) with valid NMC registration
Competence (or willingness to train) in tracheostomy, ventilator, catheter, and epilepsy care
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to support and supervise other staff
Desirable:
Knowledge of spinal cord injury and Autonomic Dysreflexia
Experience contributing to care planning and documentation
IT competence with electronic care records
Hours & Pay:
24 hours per week
Weekday: 34/hour
Weekend Day: 35/hour
Waking Night: 37/hour
Bank Holidays: Time and a half
This position requires a fully enhanced DBS (funded by the employer) and registration with the DBS Update Service.
You will be employed directly by the client; StanleySmith Case Management oversees all aspects of the client's care package on their behalf.
