Job Description

The post holder is responsible for the management of a defined caseload of patients. The post holder will be responsible for identifying, assessing and recommending / initiating treatment for patients who have suffered a fragility fracture in patients over the age of 50; with the aim of reducing their risk of subsequent or secondary fractures. The post holder will also contribute to the initial development of the Fracture Liaison Service and the on-going subsequent improvement of the Service in LTHT and wider, using resource cost effectively. The post holder will be expected to request DXA scans following appropriate training as part of their role and will be expected to complete the nurse prescribing course whilst in the post.
