About the Trust:

The post holder will join the AO service, reporting to the Macmillan Lead Nurse/Advanced Nurse Practitioner for AO and work with support and direction of the Clinical Leads for both AO and CUP, to ensure seamless delivery of care for patients and their families referred to these services.

As a core member of the AO service and MUO/CUP team, they will be expected to work autonomously within the Emergency Department (ED), Outpatients and Inpatient wards; ensuring equitable, standardised, high quality care, for patient who present to PAH with cancer treatment or disease related complications.

Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, providing specialist advice in all aspects of AO, to support seamless delivery of care and integration of services.

The post holder will act as an educational resource and support provision of education to the wider Trust.

In addition, they will facilitate, innovative and evidence-based nursing practice through professional leadership; participating and leading on clinical audits undertaken in relation to AO and CUP and, participate in on-going service development, with support from senior colleagues.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

What you'll need:



A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Chemotherapy hospital environment within the last 3 years Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices

*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
