Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Nursery 1-2-1 SEN Support to join the team working at Streatham House Nursery. In this role, you will work with and support individual children on separate days and their families at this setting to meet their targets.

The hours are 40 per week, over 5 days with an hourly rate starting from

12.85.

However a job share opportunity would be considered.

As a Nursery SEN 1-2-1 Support, you will:

Work on a 1-2-1 basis with one child in need of additional support to meet their targets. Work closely with the Nursery Manager and Local Authority to put strong plans in place to offer high levels of care and support to children and families. Work alongside Nursery SENCO to review targets on learning & development plans, provide information for relevant referrals, and make accurate assessments based on the personal knowledge of the child. Thinking outside of the box to provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development. Provide 1-2-1 care during meal times to support individual children. Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met. Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures. Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the day, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families. Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine. To demonstrate a high level of patience and care, approaching each task with empathy and understanding. Provide 1-2-1 care during meal times to support individual children, and support with accessing other routines during the day.

The nursery is closed on Christmas Eve, and over the winter break until the New Year
