We are currently recruiting for an experienced, caring and reliable individual with a passion for childcare to join our team at our Portobello Nursery. This position will require you to support a specific individual child on a 1:1 basis.

Previous additional needs experience with children or adults is preferential, however, the main attributes we are looking for is someone who is reliable, patient, confident and calm.

Hours of role

:

This position will be to support the individual:

Monday: 9:00am-5:00pm

Tuesday: 9:00am-1:00pm

Wednesday: 9:00am-1:00pm

Main Duties:

To support the individual in their needs and to support them in the engagement of the opportunities available within the nursery environment. Providing and promoting appropriate choice to child. Supporting with mealtimes. Support with personal care (toileting, teeth brushing if required). Use of appropriate communication supports. Following implemented behaviour plans and support strategies. Attending child planning meetings/meetings with external bodies as required. Working as part of a team to plan appropriate activities and trips.

The successful applicant will be subject to a PVG check and must be willing to register with the SSSC and meet registration conditions.

Pay: From 12.80 per hour
