We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. This paid apprenticeship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing a career in early childhood education. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality care and educational programmes for young children, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role is ideal for those eager to gain practical experience while working towards a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
Responsibilities
Assist qualified nursery practitioners in delivering engaging activities that promote children's development and engage children in learning through play
Support children with their daily routines, including meal times, nappy changing, and rest periods
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members through effective communication
Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with senior staff to support individualised learning plans
Support the organisation of educational resources and play materials to enhance learning experiences
Key skills
Experience working with children or in childcare settings is desirable but not essential; a genuine interest in early childhood development is required
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
A proactive attitude with organisational skills to support nursery operations effectively
The ideal candidate will be bright, energetic, and passionate about childcare with a willingness to learn more and to gain further qualifications. You must be reliable, hardworking and a good team player who is able to follow instructions, and you must be willing to undertake training in order to gain your Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
