We are excited to announce the opening of our

brand-new nursery in Harrow and Wealdstone

and are looking for a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a

Nursery Nurse Apprentice

. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in early years education and childcare, supporting children's development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You will gain practical skills while working toward a recognized qualification in childcare.

Duties

Assist qualified nursery staff in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years. Support daily routines, including meal times, nappy changes, sleep/rest periods, and play activities. Help plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Observe children and provide feedback on their progress to senior staff. Ensure all play areas and equipment are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Support children's health and hygiene, including handwashing, dental care, and toileting. Encourage positive behavior and support the implementation of the nursery's behavior management policies. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Attend training sessions, team meetings, and complete coursework required for your apprenticeship qualification. Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and welfare of all children.

Qualifications

No prior childcare qualifications required (ideal for school leavers or career changers). Must be eligible for an apprenticeship program. Some nurseries may require a basic DBS check or the ability to obtain one.

Pay: From 7.55 per hour
