Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant (apprentice level 2 or 3) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and development of children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their learning through play.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children. Supervise and interact with children during playtime, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Support the lead nursery staff in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships. Observe and monitor children's progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff members. Help manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in childcare.

Skills

Knowledge of EYFS curriculum (Early Years Foundation Stage ) Proficiency in English to effectively communicate with children and parents. Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Ability to drive may be beneficial extending children's learning and developmental needs Strong interpersonal skills to engage positively with children and their families, and build parental partnership Be able to work well as part of a team, contributing to every day tasks Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while following nursery policies and procedures. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 7.55-8.50 per hour
