We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and well-being of children in our care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the daily care and supervision of children within the nursery setting. Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and engagement in activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment for children to explore and learn. Collaborate with other staff members to manage classroom dynamics and provide leadership when necessary. Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with senior staff as required. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures.

Qualifications

Level 2 or 3 in Early years or Childcare is preferable although if applicant does not have Kids Academy will support staff to gain the qualification. Qualification in Childcare must be commenced within 1 year of employment as it is an essential requirement. Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable. A background in leading groups of children is an advantage. Strong communication skills in English are essential for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development is crucial.

Nursery Assistants must have a recognised qualification in Childcare or at least commenced in their probation period. However we are happy to assist you in sourcing and completing this training.
