Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the development and well-being of children within a nurturing environment, assisting with daily activities, supervision, and care. Responsibilities

Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional and social development. Supervise children during playtime, meals, rest periods, and organised activities to ensure their safety and engagement. Support children with their personal care needs, including hygiene routines and feeding when necessary. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self esteem. Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding children's progress and daily activities. Support management in daily administrative tasks as required, including record keeping and activity planning. Supporting nursery staff in maintaining a clean and organised environment, including tidying up after activities and ensuring toys are sanitised. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. A qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare would be advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their care and education. Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity and adaptability various situations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.70 per hour

Expected hours: 38.75 per week
