Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Assistant to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will support the daily care and developmental needs of children within our nursery setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare, management, and leadership in a nurturing environment. The Nursery Assistant will work closely with children, parents, and colleagues to promote a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere. Prior experience in nursery settings or early childhood education is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist in supervising and caring for children aged from infancy to preschool age, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare Support management in daily administrative tasks and organisational duties within the nursery Assist with meal times, nappy changes, and personal care routines as required Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages children's socialisation and confidence building Drive company vehicles when necessary to support nursery outings or errands (if qualified)

Experience

Previous experience with children is preferred Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written Experience with organising activities that stimulate learning and social interaction Valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential; willingness to obtain if required for role responsibilities A passion for working with children

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 97.68-138.17 per day

Expected hours: 40 per week
