We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Assistant to support the daily care and development of young children within our childcare facility. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment, fostering early childhood development through attentive management and leadership. Duties



Assist in supervising children during play, learning activities, and mealtimes to ensure safety and engagement. Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational activities that promote developmental milestones. Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment, ensuring all safety standards are met. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to provide updates on progress and any concerns. Support with behavioural management strategies to encourage positive behaviour among children. Assist with daily administrative tasks such as record keeping and activity planning. Contribute to the organisation of outings or trips by managing transportation logistics if required. Uphold health and safety regulations at all times, including hygiene protocols related to childcare.

Experience



Previous experience working with children in a nursery, childcare setting, or early childhood education environment is highly desirable. Demonstrated management or leadership skills in supervising young children or assisting in organised activities. Knowledge of childcare best practices, child development stages, and early education principles. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Experience with organising activities that stimulate learning through play. Valid driving licence is advantageous for organising outings or transporting children when necessary. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood development, possess strong organisational skills, and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment dedicated to nurturing young minds.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 28 per week
