Nursery Assistant

to join our warm and friendly settings in and around

Bishops Stortford

on a flexible day-to-day basis.

About the Role:

As a Nursery Assistant, you will help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5. You will work alongside experienced practitioners to support daily activities, assist with routines, and help deliver high-quality early years care.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting children's learning through play and planned activities Assisting with daily routines including mealtimes, nappy changing, and hygiene Helping to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Following safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies

Essential Requirements - DBS, Safeguarding & Training:

Enhanced DBS check

is required (or willingness to obtain one before starting) Strong understanding of

safeguarding procedures

and commitment to protecting children's welfare Up-to-date

safeguarding and first aid training

(or willingness to complete training provided by the nursery) Training in Prevent, FGM and Cyber Security Commitment to ongoing professional development in line with Early Years standards

What We're Looking For:

A genuine passion for working with young children Friendly, patient, and proactive attitude Good communication and teamwork skills Experience in an early years setting (desirable but not essential) Level 2/3 Early Years qualification (desirable but not essential)
