Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Assistant to support the development and care of young children within our nursery setting. The ideal candidate will assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes early childhood learning and growth. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with children, contribute to their developmental milestones, and support the nursery team in delivering high-quality childcare services.

Responsibilities

Assist with the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times Support children's learning activities, including play, arts and crafts, and educational exercises Help maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment Support the implementation of age-appropriate programmes in line with early childhood education standards Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene Support management in organising activities and maintaining records related to children's progress Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating leadership qualities when appropriate

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Pay: From 13.00 per hour
