Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children. This role involves supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as you will be interacting with both children and parents.

It is essential that you are willing to complete a childcare course.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote children's development. Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Support the lead nursery staff in managing daily routines, including meal times and nap times. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive environment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space. Help manage behaviour by providing guidance and support to children as needed. Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills in childcare and early childhood education.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable however all training will be provided. A background in early childhood education or related fields will be an advantage. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence is beneficial but not essential.
