We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that each child receives the care and attention they need to thrive.
Duties
Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's development in line with early childhood education principles.
Supervise and interact with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive nursery environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring it is safe and welcoming for all children.
Collaborate with other staff members to manage classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions among children.
Skills
Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and their families.
A or related fields is advantageous.
Leadership qualities to assist in guiding younger staff or volunteers within the nursery environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanour under pressure.
A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transporting materials or attending off-site activities as needed.
