We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong foundation in early childhood education. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, supporting their development and learning through engaging activities.
Duties
Assist in the daily care and supervision of children within the nursery setting.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Support children's learning by encouraging exploration, creativity, and curiosity.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive atmosphere.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment for children to learn and play.
Observe and record children's progress and behaviour to support their individual needs.
Collaborate with the nursery team to manage daily routines and ensure high standards of care.
Qualifications
Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is essential!
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and staff.
A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to drive positive outcomes for children's development.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being capable of taking initiative when required.
