Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes their development and well-being. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Support the lead nursery staff in maintaining a clean and organised environment. Help with feeding, changing, and caring for children as needed. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community. Observe and record children's progress, reporting any concerns to the lead staff. Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance professional development.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with young children is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for child care is key. A relevant qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of taking initiative when necessary. A genuine love for children and a commitment to their safety and development. Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and needs within the nursery setting.

Pay: 21,500.00-26,000.00 per year

10 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Holidays Monday to Friday
