We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team at Childs Play Day Nursery in Wolferton, on the picturesque Sandringham Estate. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents. This role involves supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
Duties
Assist in the planning and implementation of the EYFS, engaging educational activities that promote children's development.
Supervise children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Communicate effectively with Staff, Parents and Children.
Support all nursery staff and colleagues in managing daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices.
Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in childcare.
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
A background in Early Childhood Education or relevant qualifications (Level 2/ Preferably level 3) will be a requirement.
Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with children and parents.
Leadership qualities are beneficial for managing small groups of children during activities

Requirements
Recognised Level 2 / Preferably Level 3 Qualification in Childcare
DBS- Candidate must apply for an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the Disclosure Barring Board
Must provide 2 relevant references, including one from your most recent employer
