Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role involves supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children, and assisting in their developmental growth.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote children's learning and development. Provide high-quality childcare, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive environment. Manage daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and nap times, ensuring that each child's needs are met. Support children in their social interactions, encouraging positive behaviour and helping them develop essential social skills. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring it is welcoming and conducive to learning. Drive to various locations as required for outings or events related to nursery activities.

Experience

Previous experience in early childhood education or childcare is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine love for working with children and an understanding of their developmental needs. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
