Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily activities within the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires effective communication skills in English and a passion for early childhood education, as you will be working closely with children aged 0-5 years.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote the development of children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Support the lead nursery staff in managing daily routines and ensuring that all children are engaged and cared for. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive atmosphere within the nursery. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met. Observe and report on children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns to senior staff members. Drive initiatives that encourage children's creativity through play-based learning activities. Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all children.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous. Strong leadership skills to effectively manage small groups of children during activities. Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both children and adults. A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young children.
