We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Assistant to join our
OUTSTANDING
day nursery in
Rainham, Essex.
Hours -
12noon - 6pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and wellbeing of children within a nurturing environment. The position involves working closely with children, parents, and colleagues to create a safe, engaging, and educational setting.
Duties
Assist in organising and supervising activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development among children
Support children with their daily routines, including meal times, naps, and hygiene needs
Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children to explore and learn confidently
Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and wellbeing
Support managers in implementing educational programmes aligned with early childhood standards
Requirements
Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages is desirable
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and organisational skills
Childcare qualifications or relevant training are advantageous but not essential; willingness to undertake further training is expected
Compassionate nature with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
Because of the nature of this job, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken.
