What does this role require?

As a nursery assistant, you will be fun and exciting with bundles of energy and not afraid of a little dirt (we are a group of Forest and Farm School Nurseries after all!)

You'll need to have the ability to work as part of a team, and be prepared to step in where needed to support your colleagues.

Experience working in childcare would be a bonus, but a willingness to enjoy spending time with children aged 3 months - 5 years is essential.

The role of the Nursery Assistant

Nursery assistants are crucial to the smooth running of our nurseries on a daily basis, covering staff lunches and supporting where required.

You'll be responsible for contributing to the happiness and wellbeing of all children.

Our nurseries are predominantly child-lead and our curriculum is emergent, so you'll have to think on your feet and support learning in the moment.

Important information:

The role will be 51 weeks per year 10am-2pm Monday-Friday.
