We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role involves supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring the well-being of children, and assisting in their developmental growth.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote learning and development. Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and engagement. Support children in their daily routines, including feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a positive nursery environment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space, including toys and learning materials. Collaborate with other staff members to manage behaviour and encourage positive interactions among children. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.

Skills

Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable. Ability to communicate effectively in English with children, parents, and colleagues. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy nursery setting. Leadership qualities to guide and support children during activities. A genuine love for working with young children and an understanding of their developmental needs. Capability to drive may be beneficial for transporting materials or attending off-site activities.
