Nursery Assistant - Part Time (3 Days per Week) - Term Time Only



Location:

Windlesham School & Nursery, Brighton

Contract:

Part-time, 3 days per week (preferably Monday, Wednesday, Friday) with some flexibility. Hours 8:10-3:40

Salary:

18,102 FTE - Pro Rata = 10,861

About the Role



We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our small, close-knit Nursery team and support two experienced practitioners. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an independent school setting where you will contribute to a warm, nurturing environment that enables our youngest children to flourish. Furthermore, our Nursery is very much part of the whole school and so you will get access to opportunities to work with older children at times.

Key Responsibilities



Supporting daily nursery activities alongside experienced staff Assisting in the planning and delivery of a broad, engaging curriculum tailored for early years Creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for young people Helping to maintain high standards of care, wellbeing, and pastoral support Working collaboratively with the Nursery team to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere Providing cover in classes, including outside of Nursery, when colleagues are absent from work Supporting the individual needs of young people to help them thrive emotionally and academically

Required Qualifications and Experience



Minimum of Level 2 Childcare qualification Experience working with young people in an Early Years setting preferred Ability to work three days a week

Be proactive and prepared to act as a key person for a group of children Have a knowledge of child development and SEND to contribute to planning and assessment
