Salary Banding: \xc2\xa323,192 per annum (full time equivalent) (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Hours: Part Time / Permanent / Wen-Fri / 24 hours

Location: Bright Horizons Eddington Day Nursery and Preschool, CB3

Our Amazing Bright Horizons Eddington Day Nursery and Preschool are looking for a passionate Nursery Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The modern, purpose-built 125 place nursery is within the University of Cambridge\xe2\x80\x99s new Eddington district, and is easily accessible from the city centre. There are 4 light and airy base rooms with large spaces for children to explore, home cooked food which is freshly prepared on site, and additional curricular activities including cookery, music and science. The children also have access to the nursery\xe2\x80\x99s award winning courtyard garden and play area.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing
  • Working as part of a nursey team looking after babies and children up to the age of 5.
  • Having daily adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading and helping them with their curious minds through the learning curriculum
  • Communicating with parents daily on their child\xe2\x80\x99s activities
  • Provide a caring and supporting environment where the children feel safe and looked after
  • Supporting colleagues encourage the children\xe2\x80\x99s development towards key milestones
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for
  • Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential - Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar.
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
  • Sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children
