We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Assistant to support the daily care and development of young children within our nursery setting. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in early childhood education, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of creating a safe, nurturing environment. Responsibilities
Assist with the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Support behavioural management strategies in line with nursery policies
Help with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play
Assist in monitoring children's progress and providing feedback to senior staff
Support with administrative tasks related to child records and activity documentation as required
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare environment is advantageous
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience with organising activities that engage young children effectively
Valid driving licence is preferred to support transportation needs when required
