Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Assistant to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will support the daily activities of young children, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Responsibilities

Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities that promote children's development and learning. Support children with their daily routines, including meal times, naps, and hygiene practices. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times, adhering to health and safety guidelines. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social skills and emotional growth. Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment, including toys and learning materials. Support the management team with administrative tasks as required. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and behaviour. Assist with organising outings or trips in accordance with nursery policies.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages. Strong management and leadership skills to support children's needs effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Childcare qualifications or relevant training are preferred but not essential; willingness to undertake training is advantageous. Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting nursery outings or transportation needs. A caring attitude, patience, organisational skills, and a genuine passion for working with young children are essential requirements for this role.
