Care, SEND, education, or support work beneficialWe are seeking a General Nursery Assistant with an interest or background in care or support work. In addition to supporting daily nursery routines, this role includes assisting children who may become temporarily overwhelmed, helping them regulate and return to group activities calmly and positively.
Support is
short-term, inclusive, and restorative
, not isolating or punitive.Key responsibilities:
Support children within the classroom and shared play spaces Provide calm, reassuring support during moments of dysregulation Help children re-engage with peers and activities Maintain consistency, predictability, and emotional safety Work in close partnership with the nursery team
Ideal background:
Care work, SEND support, youth work, education, or similar Confident remaining calm in emotionally charged situations Clear communicator with a steady presence Values inclusion and teamwork
Training on our specific approach is provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From 12.30 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
