Nursery Assistant - rare opportunity for a great role that does not require any qualifications other than a willingness to work hard and a love of nurturing children
Kingdom Preschool is a full daycare nursery school providing excellent, affordable childcare between the ages of 3 months and 5 years. To our nursery team, families and children, we are not just a nursery; we are a not for profit, Christian organisation and small community that offers so much more - from gorgeous nursery rooms to an all-weather outdoor, fully accredited forest school, nestled in our very own woods, and a commercial kitchen with an in-house chef who prepares freshly cooked meals. If you feel that you would like to be part of this exceptional nursery environment, then we would love to hear from you!
The role
Due to the continued success and demand for care with the government expansion of the funding scheme, we require a nursery assistant to assist with the smooth running of setting.
Whilst you do not need to hold a specific Early Years qualification for this role, your attitude, commitment and passion for working with small children and their families
HAS
to shine through in your interview and trial.
This really is a one-off opportunity to work for us without needing a specific qualification. The role will entail making bottles, making beds, doing the washing, covering for lunches, setting up rooms, cleaning paint pots, reading to children, playing with children, cleaning and tidying away, and assisting the other members of the team throughout the day. The successful candidate will work alongside a highly experienced team, so this is a great opportunity for someone keen to learn and develop their own skills in a busy working environment.
The ideal candidate
We are looking for an exceptional individual who really wants to make a difference and feel valued at work. Our busy, qualified staff team members need a daily support person with exceptionally high standards of care and cleanliness that they can fully rely on so that they can do their jobs to the best of their ability! We are looking for someone who not only loves caring for young children but who can also do what is needed when it is needed and at the pace required (so they must be able to be proactive and think on their feet!)
We also, offer the opportunity to train with us towards a FREE, formal level 3 qualification if you wish. This is not a condition of applying for the role, but those looking to retrain and progress are at an advantage.
The position is from 8am-4pm daily and is a year-round position. Hourly rate: 12.50.
