Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available at our very popular Mini Merrys Nursery. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our experienced team. The post can be flexible hours if desired; minimum 25 hours per week or full time; 39 hours per week. Most of our staff work 4 long days 7.30-6 but benefit from an extra day off per week. We are happy to negotiate hours of work for the right candidate.

We support staff well-being in many ways including an extra day off on your birthday and treats for the staff member of the month! We love to go out for evening meals as a staff too.

We are keen to employ someone who will contribute towards new initiatives, and support our hard working team during this exciting time. We are still a fairly small Nursery with a homely atmosphere and an emphasis on outdoor play. We pride ourselves in the kind nurturing approach we have and the excellent relationships we form with children, parents and staff.

The successful candidate needs a minimum full and relevant level 3 qualification in childcare, must provide two suitable references. We would consider full and relevant level 2 qualifications for exceptional candidates.

Main Roles of Nursery Assistant Include:

To create a fun learning environment through activities and play following the EYFS framework

To plan specifically for children aged 0-4, with clear learning outcomes and next steps

To implement safeguarding policies and procedures, and Ofsted requirements
