We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Nursery Bank Staff to join our team on a flexible basis. The role involves supporting the daily operations of our nursery, assisting with childcare activities, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in early childhood education or childcare to contribute to the development and well-being of young children while gaining valuable management and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Assist in supervising and engaging with children during various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Support the delivery of age-appropriate educational programmes and play activities
Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and development
Collaborate with full-time staff to implement daily routines and behavioural expectations
Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents or guardians to foster positive relationships
Support management in organising resources and preparing materials for activities
Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with nursery policies and procedures
Be adaptable to cover shifts as needed, including mornings, afternoons, or occasional evenings
Requirements
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting is a must
Knowledge of child development principles and childcare best practices
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members
Demonstrated leadership qualities and organisational skills suitable for managing small groups of children
Ability to work independently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Valid driving licence is preferred
Management experience or leadership qualities are advantageous but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
A caring attitude, patience, and genuine enthusiasm for working with young children are essential

Pay: 12.71-12.96 per hour
