In this role, you will support full-time nursery staff by providing high-quality care and engaging activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Responsibilities
Assist with daily childcare routines, including feeding, nappy changes , and nap times for children across various age groups
Support classroom activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and early learning experiences
Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and behavioral management strategies to encourage positive interactions
Collaborate with full-time staff to maintain organization, cleanliness, and compliance standards
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's day-to-day activities and developmental milestones
Experience
Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
Experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children is preferred
Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous; training can be provided if needed
Background in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
Demonstrated ability to work well with diverse groups of children and team members in a fast-paced environment
