Nursery Chef

Reporting to: Nursery Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Chef to prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals in accordance with dietary requirements and food hygiene standards. You will play a key role in supporting children's health and well-being through well-balanced meals and snacks.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and prepare fresh, healthy meals and snacks for children aged 0-4 years. Work within allergy and dietary requirements, including preparing individual meals as needed. Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment, following food hygiene and health & safety regulations. Monitor stock levels and manage food ordering within budget. Maintain up-to-date food safety records and ensure compliance with environmental health standards. Support the nursery in promoting healthy eating habits among children.
Requirements: Food Hygiene Level 2 (minimum). Experience in a similar role, preferably within a nursery or school environment. Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs for young children. Ability to work independently and manage kitchen operations efficiently. Friendly, reliable, and organised.
