We are seeking a passionate and dedicated

Nursery Chef

Key Responsibilities:

Efficiently manage the nursery kitchen, ensuring a clean and organised environment. Track food supplies and order ingredients as needed. Prepare meals in accordance with health and safety guidelines. Ensure meals meet children's specific dietary requirements and allergies. Create and develop a weekly menu that is both healthy and exciting for the children. Collaborate with nursery staff to ensure smooth and timely meal service.

Essential Qualifications:

Food Hygiene Certificate - Level 2 or higher. Certification in Food Safety.

Skills & Attributes:

A genuine passion for cooking, especially for children. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Collaborative approach to working with nursery staff. Ability to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies with care and accuracy.

Experience:

Previous experience as a

Nursery Chef

or in a similar kitchen role within a

care home

or similar setting is preferred. Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience (essential). At least six months in a similar role (preferred). Enhanced DBS check (essential). A strong understanding of health and safety regulations and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
