Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our nursery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes and managing kitchen operations to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

You will be working Monday to Friday from 9am until 3pm for 51 weeks of the year.

The Ideal Candidate Will:



Prepare nutritious snacks and meals for children under five in accordance with guidelines. Ensure all allergen and dietary requirements are followed, supporting children's individual needs. Collaborate with the nursery management team to develop seasonal menus. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations. Make sure the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times Have some experience in a similar role.

Essential to role:



Hold a minimum Level 2 Food and Hygiene qualification. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes. Excellent communication skills. Positive attitude. Basic health and safety and food safety knowledge. Be willing to undergo further training as required. COSHH Knowledge.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday No weekends
