Job Summary

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, ensuring that all areas are tidy and presentable.

The Nursery Cleaner is required, to:

Keep all areas of the Nursery, including all toilets, clean and tidy. This includes washing, dusting, polishing, vacuum cleaning and sweeping as appropriate. All cleaning is expected to be carried out to a high standard. To remove all rubbish and place in approved bins, ready for collection. Work in partnership with the Nursery Manager to ensure the timely ordering of any cleaning equipment or supplies. Be familiar with and comply with relevant Health and Safety procedures and processes in order to comply with legislative responsibilities and safe working practices. To inform the manager of areas where maintenance is required, in order to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and decor. Work a part of a wider professional Nursery Team that ensures the very best outcomes for children. Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team
Ideally you will have the following:

An understanding of Health & Safety at work (particularly relating to the use of chemical products). An understanding of COSHH Regulations. Previous experience within a Nursery, School or residential home setting. Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks Ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision A pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
As Nursery Cleaner you will be a dedicated, flexible and reliable team member who will clean the nursery to a high standard in accordance with the specification set by the nursery manager. You will be responsible for complying with relevant nursery risk assessments and attending to general housekeeping duties while ensuring the nursery is kept to a high standard at all times.

The working hours are from 10-20 hours per week, between 5:30pm and 8:00pm Monday to Friday.

All employment offered is subject to a 3-month probationary period and completion of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and references covering the last 5 years of work experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
