Job Description

Working in partnership with the Managers to ensure the cleanliness of the nursery, adhering to the Policies and Procedures of DMDN and in compliance with COSHH Regulations, Health and Safety legislation and within the guidelines of Ofsted/ Welfare requirements within the statutory framework Early Years Foundation Stage.

Daily duties

- All rooms, toilets and changing areas:
? Ensuring all floors are hoovered and mopped thoroughly with floor cleaner.
? Carpets to be vacuumed and edges cleaned.
? All bins to be emptied, refuse to be taken to appropriate storage area and bin liners
replaced.
? Dust furniture, picture frames, ledges, skirting, sills and radiators up to normal hand height
5-6". Polish where necessary.
? Wash WC pans and washbasins using germicidal disinfectant.
? Damp dust and polish taps and mirrors.
? Damp dust pipes, cisterns, disposal units and towel cabinets.
? Replenish toilet roll holders, soap dispensers.
? Monitor cleaning materials and inform the manger of orders.
? Liaise with setting staff regarding health and safety requirements.
? Contribute to supervision meeting and staff appraisals.
? Move nursery furniture and clean- to be completed across the month.
? To be aware of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
? To ensure all cleaning products are store safety in the designated cupboard at the nursery.

Weekly duties

:?
? Damp dust light switches, door furniture and walls to remove any marks.
? Damp dust telephones using germicidal disinfectant.
? Clean glass doors windows both inside and outside and to remove hand marks etc.
? Check outside area by front door for debris, cigarette ends etc.
? Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Managers.

Shifts available: 2pm-6pm or 3pm-6pm.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
