Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our friendly team as a Nursery Cleaner at our Abacus Nursery. This important role will help us maintain the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene essential for a safe environment for children, staff, and families.
6-9 hours across 3 evenings a week

Main responsibilities
Carry out daily cleaning of all nursery rooms, toilets, kitchens, corridors, and communal areas Maintain the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety by following cleaning schedules and procedures Safely store and use cleaning materials and equipment according to guidelines Report any maintenance, health, or safety issues promptly Work respectfully alongside nursery staff and children, ensuring minimal disruption to the learning environment Support with occasional deep cleans and additional cleaning requests as needed

Experience required
Previous cleaning experience in a nursery, school, healthcare, or similar environment (preferred but not essential) Awareness of hygiene, infection control, and safe use of cleaning products Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness Reliable, punctual, and able to use initiative Flexible approach to work and ability to work well as part of a team Commitment to safeguarding and promoting a safe environment for children
