Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and cook all menu dishes, providing high-quality meals
Ensure dietary requirements are monitored, adhered to and met as necessary
All food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times
Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen at all times
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment
Organise ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods
Serving lunch and high tea, including plating dishes and delivering meals to children
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
Ensure all paperwork and checks are kept up to date
Skills
Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Good understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Basic culinary skills such as chopping, mixing, and following recipes
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Enthusiasm for learning new cooking techniques and hospitality practices
