Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at Happy Tots Day Nursery in Barrow-in-Furness. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating nutritious meals that support the health and well-being of our children, contributing to our mission of providing outstanding childcare services.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook healthy meals for children in accordance with dietary requirements. Ensure all food safety standards are met and maintained. Plan weekly menus that cater to the nutritional needs of children. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs. Assist in training staff on food safety practices. Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed. Engage with children during meal times to promote healthy eating habits.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a childcare or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices. Ability to create nutritious meal plans tailored for children. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Passion for promoting healthy eating habits among young children.
