Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards and support with creating new menus Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations, completing all relevant paperwork Preparation of meals for nursery rooms, ensuring timely delivery of dishes Follow all health and safety procedures to uphold hygiene standards Assist in stock rotation, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service Manage children's dietary needs, ensuring we are meeting all allergen requirements, that all food is labelled correctly and signed off from kitchen to room staff.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred Previous experience in a nursery environment is preferred, along with previous knowledge of managing multiple allergens Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Experience in meal preparation and culinary techniques Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team Prior serving or restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential A genuine passion for food, cooking, and delivering exceptional dining experiences

Pay: 12.75-13.25 per hour
