Are you passionate about providing nutritious meals for children? Do you have a love for cooking and a desire to support young learners in their growth and development?

We are looking for a dedicated and creative cook to join our team at First Friends. As a Nursery Cook, you will be responsible for preparing healthy, balanced, and delicious meals for babies to five-year-olds. Hours: 9.30am-2.30pm, Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook nutritious meals, snacks, and drinks in line with the dietary requirements and preferences of the children. Plan a weekly menu that supports children's health and dietary needs. Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean, organised, and adhere to food safety regulations. Work closely with the nursery staff to accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies. Create fun, colourful, and appealing meals to encourage healthy eating habits following our Thoughtful Food Programme.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in cooking for children or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs for young children. Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Creative and enthusiastic approach to cooking. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
